THIRD STRIKE!

Greetings, Minions! Do you know what tomorrow brings? It brings the third (and final) book in The Slayer Chronicles, THIRD STRIKE. This is the last book in the Vlad Tod universe, though certainly not the last book by yours truly. Coming your way in early 2015 (through HarperTeen), in fact, is a little something AWESOME by the name of THE CEMETERY BOYS. And there will be many more after that. but as for Vlad and Joss…this is THE book to read. Who killed Cecile? You’re about to find out, Minions.

In honor of my special day, I’m hosting TWO launch parties. One at Left Bank Books (Downtown) and one at Spencer Road Branch Library – both in the St. Louis/St. Charles area of Missouri. (Details on my Appearances page and in the links above) Appearances in honor of these books will be very limited, so I hope those of you who aren’t in the area will make the drive!

It is also possible that I will have official Vlad Tod Snack Packs for sale at each event.

Regardless of where you are, go grab that book and enjoy the read. And pay special attention to the Acknowledgements, Minions. :)

Thank you Auntie for ANOTHER great book. You are truly amazing and I am so grateful that you keep writing, no matter who you write for. This book very much so felt right. I don’t think there is another way to describe it. Usually I’m pretty sad at the end of a series, but this time I wasn’t really. My main question, in retrospect is: when does the take place chronologically compared w/ the CoVT? Equivalent to 10th grade bleeds? And a very random thought: Have you ever thought of trying to use kick starter or something similar to fund CoVT becoming a movie?

    Dear Heather Brewer.
Thank you for writing. I’ve been reading the Vlad Tod books since 6th grade. I met you once in Austin, Texas at a book fair, where you signed my copy of 12th Grade Kills. Not trying to sound like a weirdo, but I’ve at least read all the books of both series twice. That’s not weird for a 16 year old guy is it? I suppose not. I applaud you for putting your talent into possibly some of the best pieces of young adult literature. It’s inspired to try to become a writer with a project I’m trying to get started in between 3 AP classes I take as a junior in high school. It’s sad to see that Vlad and company’s stories have come to a conclusion, however I believe that a great story is never truly finished.
Thank you for your devotion, and hopefully countless re readings of third strike!

I just finished “Third Strike” it was truly amazing. I am sad its the last book though. Heather Brewer should really consider making a movie or a show for the book series. I would totally watch it. Thanks for another amazing book

  13. Hello I read all your books and own all your Vlladamir Tod books and bought your comic book of eighth grade bites and was wondering if you are making another comic book for ninth grade slays?

I just finished 3rd strike and it was wonderful. Its weird to think I’ve been following Vlad and Joss since 6th grade and now I’m a sophomore in highschool. I’ll miss Vlad, Joss, Henry, October, Otis, and Snow (who I named my black cat after). I just have one question. How come it was never revealed why Snow’s eyes flashed in the last Vladimir Todd book? I’m so curious.

P.S. Another spin-off of these series should TOTALLY happen in the future ;) So many things left unanswered an what not.
