Vlad is chipping icecicles off of his fangs and I’m as bundled up as I can get, perched in front of a heater. All we can do is shiver. Methinks it’s time for a visit to one of two things. A) a sauna or B) a beach. But, as Vlad and I have access to neither right now, we’ll have to suffer with a wind chill factor of ONE FRIGGIN’ DEGREE!
Not to mention that my fingers are so cold, it’s hard to type. *grumble* But type I shall, as I woke up with the urge to tweak a few more aspects of NINTH GRADE SUCKS. Now if I could only thaw my brain enough to focus…

You know you have an open invitation to visit… and the beach is only a short drive away
You need one of those fleece body sacks that I believe come from Lands End… and heated gloves for writing.
Fingerless gloves
Hot Chocolate with a shot of Godiva Liquer
And, ewoh….:P for you and your beach
~S
The only thing I’m missing is the Godiva liquer…
I feel like a writing hobo.
We’ve been in a deep freeze for weeks! Yesterday we had a windchill of – 36C…tomorrow its supposed to be a scorching +1C…talk about a mad switch!
Girlfriend, get yourself some toasty slippers, a good cozy shawl to leave at the writing desk and a polar fleece sweater…then you’ll be set!
I’m saving my pesos to get a coffee maker for my writing desk…I’m too damn lazy and cold to go down stairs to reheat!
Nic ;-D
Brrr, Nic, that makes me colder just reading it! Today I’m adding fluffy socks and seriously looking into that shawl. The cold makes me ache–always has.
Fingerless gloves, baby.
Also, there’s something we use on set — hand warmers, foot warmers, body warmers. They work for about eight hours and you can buy them by the box at most Home Depots. I like to slap a body warmer on my lower back (do NOT put it on your skin — put it between a camisole and a shirt). They work 8-10 hours and are good for sitting at the desk for long stretches, writing.
Ooooh, Devon, you’re my hero! :-*
Have you seen the warming vest and gloves they featured on HGTV’s “I want that!”? I get toasty just thinking about them.
Ha, you think it’s cold there? It’s just as cold, if not colder, back here at home.
By the way…Your parents are my grandma’s neighbors. Just thought you should know that. I’m sure you know my uncles.
not to creep you out or anything but its true .
Hi, me! Okay, that creeps me out a little.
Who exactly are you?
haha..sorry. um…you may know my uncles: wade beebe and matt beebe?
That last one was me!! by the way. I forgot my password. lol.
Those names sound vaguely familiar…but honestly, I haven’t lived in Michigan for eight years now, and have only briefly been back since I left (like four times total).
