Lately, my Minions, I’ve been bombarded by all sorts of messages, emails, and letters, asking me if and when there will be a movie. The short answer is: maybe someday. The long answer is a bit more complicated.
Money, unfortunately, is what does the talking in business. When the people in charge (henceforth referred to as TPIC) see that a book or series is selling like crazy (like enough to hit bestseller lists), then it makes them open their minds a bit more on whether or not they should purchase the rights and turn a book into a movie. Right now, my sales are fangtastic…but not quite fangtastic enough to hit a bestseller list, not quite good enough to make TPIC really pay me some serious attention.
So what do we do? What can we do?
To be blunt, I need every one of you to do one of two things. Either: A) pre-order TENTH GRADE BLEEDS right now or B) walk into a bookstore the week of July 9, 2009 and buy the book. There’s something else you can do: wrangle all of your friends, teachers, neighbors, family, and have them pre-order the book or buy the book in person that first week. If we can boost my numbers enough, we might just be able to make this happen. But if you want it, Minions, you’ve gotta work for it. And don’t worry! Auntie Heather is doing her part too. Together, we can move mountains (and yes, even attract the attention of TPIC).
So, rally together, Minion Horde! We only have four months until TENTH GRADE BLEEDS debuts!

Hey our school was having a book fair and it had the 1st and 2nd book of vlademir todd! it was soo cool a lot of the kids were buying the books and saying it was really good >_< and they also showed us this short clips about the new books or something and there was one part that showed you in it and i was like "OMG! THAT'S HEATHER BREWER!!!"

OMG! OMG! I saw a advertisement for Vladimir Tod in Nintendo Power! It was awesome! I was jumping up and down when I saw it! I think that the advertisement will grab everybodys attention. You might just hit the best seller list! So many people read the magazine. It’s bound to get a few THOUSAND readers. I think Vladimir Tod would make a great movie. And trust me, I am doing my part to make it happen. I have got A LOT of people in my grade to read the book.

OMG!!! That made my heart jump. I would love to see a Vladimir Tod movie, but the sad thing is when books become movies, they get all warped and totally different! If Vladimir Tod became a movie, Auntie Heather, you’d have to make sure the people stuck fairly close to the book.

A VT movie would be pretty doos, but I agree with VladGirl12. Books made into movies are NEVER the same. It’s sad.

If Vlad gets turned into a movie, would you be writing the script??? (although, Anthony Horowitz wrote the screenplay for Stormbreaker, and it was waaay different from the book.)

I was at the book fair at school and they only had the 1st,3rd, and 4th book and not the 2nd book I was mad so I’m going to go to the book store at the mall and buy it I cannot wait for it and I wish that this will one day turn into a movie I have a feeling that if this turns into a movie it would be a bigger hit then twilight.

Ok … I’ve read many books in my life time and haven’t enjoyed them as much as I enjoy Vladimir Tod and I’m in college lol. I will be honest, you left the end of book 5 on a bad note because of the cliff hanger! Your are an amazing author Heather but you never gave us complete closure. It would be deeply appreciated if perhaps you could write another book possibly giving us closure. I’m sure it would be deeply appreciated by many of your fans.

i just love the series and i was thrilled when i saw many kids in school with the book. I just fnished Twelth Grade kills and can’t wait for when (or if) a movie comes out!
OMG!!! I just came up with a super awesome idea! The actors/actresses should be people that aren’t famous! The cast should be intirely out of the minion horde! If I audition, I hope to get the part of Snow or October!

hey i think that you should make the vladimir tod series into a movie. my school has had two book fairs already and i’m in the 7th grade. i absolutely love these books and ive read them five times. my friends say i read them only because im goth. well yeah am goth but that doesn’t mean i obnly ead them because of it. u sould def. make it into a movie.
