Greetings, Minion Horde! Thanks so much for your FANGtastic input as to where I should go on my fabulous tour – the moment my publisher lets me know officially where I’ll be going, I’ll let you know!
Okay. So. Catching up.
Auntie Heather has been crazy busy lately and under a lot of stress. Like poke-out-my-eyes-with-a-tuning-fork stress. First off, my delivery date (the date the manuscript is due to my editor, which means all written and polished and lovely) for TWELFTH GRADE KILLS was moved from March 15, 2010 to the end of this October. AAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!! But…I’m not complaining, because it’s for a very good reason (one that I’ll be able to share with you soon). It has added stress to my life, but I can deal, because dude…it just means Vlad and I get to spend some serious time together.
Next, it seems like I have a million things going on in my personal life. Yesterday I had an eye exam (Auntie is surrendering at last and getting glasses) and today I have some furniture being delivered. Jacob and Alex are getting ready to start school in a few weeks (sophomore year and 3rd grade) and I haven’t done much back-to-school shopping yet.
Plus, ELEVENTH GRADE BURNS is now being published in February (as opposed to June), which is AWESOME, but…that means I only have a few months to organize the big Snow Ball party I’m holding. I found a place, found an amazing cake artist, and I’m working out decorations, but I still have to hire a great DJ, hire an ice sculptor, hire a professional photographer, and figure out a menu and the best way to sell tickets. Still working out the date, BUT! You’re all invited to dress in your Snow Ball best and come party with me. It’ll be in Grand Blanc, Michigan, which is just a short drive from the airport in Detroit or even the airport in Flint. Think about how fancy Snow Ball is in the books…then think bigger. It’ll be like an icy prom! With lots of amazing contests, and books, of course…
So…that’s my life lately. Insane! But all very, very good.
P.S. Vlad is STILL on the Bookscan and Barnes & Noble bestseller lists. Fangtastic job, Minions!

Aw, glasses? I have to wear them and I’m just going into high school. They’re not too bad, but just a nuisance when you swim.
But it’s STILL on the list?! Awesome! I can’t wait for Eleventh Grade Burns to come out! It sounds really amazing what you’re planning on doing for the Snow Ball, but unfortunately I live too far away to go. Put up pictures or videos at least! 
I wish everything starts to slow down for you. I’ve been stressing with reading for school and finishing reports, but you sound like you need to take a breather! Good luck! 
I will try to make it to the snow ball ill and ill force my parents to drive me their. I hope your life gets eiser.

o my god, auntie heather! i loved the third book! i love how vlad is being torn between being a bloodsucking monster and loving meredith. i have a question about snow. how is it she is vlad’s drudge? i didn’t know it was possible for a vampire to have more than one drudge. is snow vlad’s drudge because he didnt kill her after he was sucking her blood? or is it because she didnt die? either way, good twist. i love the goths, i’m definitely a mix of sprat and kristoff. i’m beginning to dislike henry. my favorite character is ignatius, very corrupt and dark. d’ablo is starting to get on my good side and that annoys me. i actually believe that he does miss his mentor, tomas tod. anyway, i love the books and what you are doing. a faithful minion always.
Wow!! Your life is insane(but not in a bad way)! The Ball sounds soooooooo fangtastic I wish so bad that I could go!!! But I live in Canada so it would take like a plane to get me there and I don’t think my parents feel like paying for plane tickets for me to get there, you know what I’m sayin’? Sooo yeah

Im kindsa confusled about the release dates for 11th and 12th grade. In the blog, you said that 12th was coming out this October and 11th is out in Febuary, by this do you mean that 12th will be out the October of 2010 or litterally, this October?
Well anyways i love your books and i stay up all night everytime a new one comes out until it is finished. I am absolutly obsessed with Vlad and your amazing books. Right now i’ve been writing a book thats called “The Life of a Teenage Vampiress” you are my inspiration for writing this, and maybe you could read it and tell me what you think.

Poor Auntie Heather. It is so unfair (even if it is for a good cause) for the editor to move up yout publish date. (I sure hope quality isn’t compromised because of it.)
*sigh* I remember when I first had to get glasses. The time that totally stung though was when I went back to the DMV/SOS after years of not bothering to get a license. I got up to the eye tester machine and I couldn’t see the letters. I swore something was wrong with it. Well, I had to come back another time; lo and behold glasses became required by law for me while driving.
It stung deep. You have my sympathies Auntie Heather.
Can’t wait to find out what the big secret is that makes the rush worth it!
Woah! The Snow Ball, this is so cool! I was dreaming about it a few days ago. I wish I could remember what I was wearing in the dream, I know the dress was beautiful.
If my Love can get the day off from work we will so be there! (We just hope the tickets aren’t super expensive.)

All my summer hopes were crushed because my friend couldn’t come down to see me and other friends she left in poor little Idaho. and Every fun event you have are sadly too far away and my parents are cheapos, well my mum is but eh… and by the way I can’t wait for eleventh grade I luved Tenth grade
