I’m hoooooome! Actually, I was home Sunday night, but only just got around to blogging. Stress level = way, way lower.
My weekend away was wonderful. I love New Orleans – it’s one of my fave places in the world. It’s the first time, however, that I did anything really tourist-y. The family and I went on a Haunted History tour with Midian Von Thorne. It was simply amazing. We stuffed ourselves with great food, bought amazing stuff and came home wishing we never had to leave.
Pretty typical.
And now, Auntie is hard at work on TWELFTH GRADE KILLS. I’m also busy writing up a sneak-peek of ELEVENTH GRADE BURNS for you Minions. I know I mentioned it a while ago and promised I would post it, and I will! Plus, I’ll post the publishing dates for the remaining Vlad books, and the first book of BLOODBOUND, as well as the first book of THE SLAYER JOURNALS. But for now, I’m writing.

i also feel like a dork cuz when i go to school 2moro all of my friends and maybe a couple random people (not kidding…at my school im considered the popular “goth/emo/punk/thespian/weirdo/dork/nerd” (wow that was a lot of slashes) cuz i have a harry potter backpack, harry potter binder, slytherin notebook, and the awsumest nightmare before christmas pens!!!
my friends birthday is in a week and im buying her a harry potter wand and a pack of straws cuz her and my other friend got into a wand fight at my birthday party using straws

just found out that school might start in november which is coll cuz i started summer vacation in june so thats 5 months of summer vacation but my summer vacation will start in august and i do no want that!! but i doubt it’ll happen but if it does..everyone will be enjoying the summer while my school studies -.-
I’m old, but I thought my comments might make an interesting outlier to the rest of your minion mail. I got a new job, so I am currently moving my 6 year old to her new school…she just started a new school two weeks ago, so I am amazed she isn’t going crazy yet. But, then that would make two of us. I just finished reading “Marked” and am planning on reading more of her books until the rest of yours come out.
I am also wondering why more authors can’t come out to the Ohio/Indiana area, but given my business background I am sure it doesn’t take a lot of financial analysis to figure that out. 
It would just be nice to meet more of you face to face. Gratitude and appreciation can only go so far through blog and the written word in general. Anyway, I am really glad you had a nice trip. Fun and rest are vital parts of passion in general, and writing specifically, I think.
Still got a while to go actully the 10th is when school starts ^^ but on the down side I have to go pick up my paper work on the 3rd so I know my classes well I guess its not all that bad I mean at least I know what I’ll be getting,u know?, just not that into school as everyone else Im good with english an history but it annoys when u walk around school and popular loosers call u “goth girl!” or just flat out weirdo but hey that doesnt mean I dont get them back

Today was my first day of school. The school changed the schedule system to an new more confusing system
School starts next Thursday, unfortunately, but it’s a half-day for the first two days, so that’s a relief. Man, more authors really should visit NJ because all we get is local authors who no one has heard of–it’s depressing.
i’m starting school the day after labor day.. which is kinda cool.. i guess.. my sister started on monday, which sucks for her (haha. sucks). this summer was kinda interesting… i didnt really go anywhere for vacation… all i really dd was ride my bike and play guitar/bass. guitar is good. so is bass guitar. there are 3 highlights i have for the summer. my first one is that my family got a new kitten! she was so cute.. her name is rainy because shes gray. we had to drive an hour to get her, but it was worth it. the second thing that happened was i saw green day in concert!!
billie joe is a good entertainer if you dont like the band… there were fireworks and he shot toilwt paper at the audience, which was awesome.. haha

Im so happy your stress-y-ness is down! Thats always good. As for me, nothing knew. Well actually I’m writing a story for the writing exorcise that PRAVUS/Jacob is doing in the Fanfic/fanart section. I have to edit it once I finish. I have a habit of too much detail. Lol. Haunted History stuff? GAH! That sounds soooo awesome! I love all things haunted-y. Love ya!
well school starts after labor day and unlike most kids i couldnt be happier i love school!!! im like the total nerd of the school cause i have an obsession with math and i memorize digits of pi (i know weird but i have like 250 numbers in my head its like AWESOME). i get my schedule for eigth grade tommorrow!!!
my summer was pretty boring i just sat at home reading most days, i read a lot of vampire books including:Vlad, twilight, vampire academy, house of night and more. but i have to say that vlads is tied for first with twilight. anyway i cant wait for the vlads 11th grade book preview!!! im glad you had fun in new orleans! 
Glad you enjoyed your stay here, ya just can’t beat that food! Hahaha! Anyway, I’ve been working on a book lately, still no title yet though. It’s gonna be about pirates, not too many good books about them out there. Well, there is Treasure Island, but I’m reading that now and it goes by so fast, right as they start their journey, they’re already on the island. -_- But I’m working on this one big time, I wrote down characters (which are over 70 over them @_@), mapped out the places and islands, and now I’m plotting it out. I hope it comes out well.

today was my first day of high school. nothing special..god i hate people…but, not you fellow minions! i could never hate you guys!
Well, i started school 2 weeks ago, and i just started highschool, so im a freshman, and my first day of school i learn that one of my friends had passed away. pretty sad. but about a week after that i got my first boyfriend!! hes my dork:] and then last saturday i got my first kiss!!! yayeah!!

oh my gosh! Everybody hasn’t gone to school yet when I’ve already been in for like five weeks! Well not much has happened but I can’t wait till eleventh grade burns and twelfth grade kills.

I’m happy you enjoyed your trip! I love New Orleans too. My dad lives there so when I go to visit it’s so fun! I’m gonna go on a vampire tour….lolz my step-mom suggested it. School has been goin well. It was just my sixth day of the seventh grade. It was my first year of Jr.High so it’s been a little rough. I’m just happy I dont have any classes with this one girl who bugs me. She got everyone to call me gothy mc goth goth. Lol ok I hav to admit thats a bit funny but it bothered me when she got my crush to do it too…luckly no one really hates me that I know of so it didnt bug me too much. Mostly just my crush and her. But I’m over him cuz he’s a jerk for tons of reasons. Plus this was last year so she may have forgotten it but if it goes around the school…well I wouldnt mind. Not that I enjoy being called that but I wouldn’t let it bug me. Sorry this was so long but I have a habit of babbling. And I kno u may question me why the heck i posted all of this but it sounds like I’m not the only one who gets called goth. Luv ya Auntie Heather!

That Haunted History tour sounds reeeally cool! We have something similar to that (though it’s called a “Ghost Walk” where I live. I’d love to go on similar tours in other places, though (I’ll make sure to remember if I ever go to New Orleans.)
I’m jealous of all you minions who haven’t started school yet! I had to start a week ago, bleh. And I’ve had a nasty cold for two days straight =/ …. but I’m turning 15 in like… less than a week (o-o wow, that crept up on me…), so that should be pretty interesting.

I just finished your first book and i think it’s better than Twilight! It’s astonishing! I think if Twilight was made a movie, then this SHOULD TOO.. I’m on the second book and i already read half of the book in about 45 minutes. It’s the best and i have to tell all of my friends about how awesome and cool this is! I cant until the next book comes out! I know it’s really hard work but don’t stop! I LOVE VLAD! MAKE THIS A MOVIE! MAKE IT REAL!!!

Well, not so sure that this happend to you cuz you are the best author in the world. But did you ever think that there was somthing so terrible in your book, that you wanted to change it but the deadline is so close that you end up publishing it and everyone loves it?

Well, I’m freaking out because for me school starts next Tuesday, which is exactly 6 days from today!
Summer’s almost over, then it’s back to homework, and certain teachers who can’t stand me.
I’m also thinking up a costume for I’m going to be this Halloween, and I’ve decided on a Vampire Slayer. Hope you don’t mind too much but too many people are going to be Vampires, (with the whole Twilight thing, though I wish it was the Vlad Tod thing, since your books are better.)

(oh i live in australia hence why i aint mentioning anything about first day of school..blablabla) yes and our assesments are nealry over for the erm but next term we have yearly exams (yikes!) so yeh
Haha, me a minion. mehehee. haha. I just cant wait for 11 grade burns to come out. Im obsessed with your books, they are way better than twilight. anywhoo, im glad u had a fun trip. Whats up with me? Well i try to savor every hour of the remaining days of this fantastic summer, recalling that school starts on the 10th. which is 7 days from now. I just got my schedule and I think D’Ablo cursed it; i got into Pre-Algebra some how. I have a faint memory that i epicly failed my math placement test. I’m literally going to die in that class. I’m going camping on my birthday with my GS troop. (FORMER GS troup, i just dont think they get that i really dont wanna be a GS anymore
) So yeah that means waking up early in the morning just to walk out into the dry ashy air to eat breakfast and start daily routines. HA sounds fun doesnt it? Well i hope you have a great week(starting….NOW! (: ) And i hope from reading your books rubs off not only the pleasure of the story, but also helps me with my writing. You see i am trying to be an author, you see, you and a few other authors inspired me to start writing, and i think im pretty darn good for a beginner, but i need to improve a lot to be such an amazing author as you.

School started August 26 and Seventh Grade REALLY SUCKS!!!!!!! Can’t wait till the next Vlad book comes out and I can’t wait till the Snow Ball!!!
