Dragon*Con was awesome! I gave away roughly 300 pieces of Minion Bling, hung out with Captain Kirk, got ditched by Jesus and was touch by the Flying Spaghetti Monster’s noodly appendage. Must do it again next year. And must meet more Minions while I’m there.
So, I’m home again now, and I’ve promised you all that I’ll talk a bit more about ELEVENTH GRADE BURNS. So without further ado…
ELEVENTH GRADE BURNS will be released on February 9, 2010. So, all of you Minions itching to go to the Snow Ball just got another reason – the party is on February 6th and the book is part of your ticket price, so in short, come to the Snow Ball, get the book THREE DAYS EARLY. I know, right? Way kewl.
So…what’s ELEVENTH about? For those of you who have not yet read TENTH GRADE BLEEDS, please DO NOT continue reading this blog post. I’m tellin’ ya. There will be kinda sorta spoilers and I don’t want you to miss the surprises of TENTH. Okay? Okay.
Are they gone? Good (for their sake). Now, onto ELEVENTH…
As if Vlad’s life weren’t bad enough….guess who’s back? That’s right: Joss! And this time, Joss is seriously out for blood. The Slayer Society has “cleansed” his thoughts and he’s absolutely convinced that Vlad is a vampire, which means Vlad = evil and must be destroyed.
Not to mention there’s a new vampire in town by the name of Dorian, who thinks that Vlad’s blood sounds like the most tasty treat on earth. And to add to that problem, Dorian can control anyone…even Vlad….with barely a thought.
Then, of course, there are the girls. Snow and Meredith. Vlad will face both in this book, and things don’t turn out the way you might think…
The ending will leave you screaming for more, Minions, and you will never. see it. coming.

The book sounds amazing, Auntie Heather and I can’t wait to read it! Unfortunately, I can not attend the Snow Ball but, what goes with the bad must come good, or say they say. I will be reserving the book at Barnes and Nobles, which, most of the time, they give the reserved books out….:drum roll please:…. early! So, I am excited about that. Anyway, I can’t wait to hear more about the books and oh… one more thing! This year, I will be trying with the help of my school librarians to come for an author visit. My school will definitely love you. That’s a wrap!
