Oh, Minions.
If you had any idea what your dear Auntie Heather is going through right now, you might just lose your precious little twisted minds as well.
My schedule has been ramped up, that is to say, changed so that I can meet my publisher’s quicker-version of a publishing schedule. (Does that make sense?) See, initially, ELEVENTH GRADE BURNS was going to be out in Summer 2010, which meant like August. But because I sold both the first three books of BLOODBOUND and all five books of THE SLAYER JOURNALS, my schedule had to shift in order to accomodate the new titles. So that moved ELEVENTH to February 9, 2010. As a result, my writing schedule has been intense. TWELFTH GRADE KILLS was due to my editor on March 15, 2010. It’s now due around Halloween 2009. So…argh. My days have become a routine of wake up, shower, dress, eat, write, write, write, eat again, write, write, write, sleep.
For the curious, TENTH GRADE BLEEDS will come out in paperback January 2010. ELEVENTH GRADE BURNS will debut in hardcover February 2010 (paperback won’t be until August 2010). TWELFTH GRADE KILLS (this is the one I’m writing right now) will be available in hardcover September 2010 (and in paperback April 2011).
The first book of THE SLAYER JOURNALS will debut September 2011 and the first book of BLOODBOUND will be available in October 2011. So it’s going to be a very Heather Brewer kinda year in the bookstores.
So…that’s why I’m exhausted, and hardly blogging, and absent from the forums currently.
Auntie needs a nap.

Auntie–that’s horrible! NO ONE in their right mind should be subjected to that torture. Can’t you move the deadline to be a little later? You already do so much as it is!

Unfortunately, I can’t do anything about it. Sorry Auntie Heather =(. However, that doesn’t mean I can’t cheer you on from the sidelines. *frowns slowly forms into a grin* Auntie, I know things must be rough now–but you have to keep going! If I could, I’d totally be patient, and wait until 2011 for Eleventh Grade Burns–rather than filling up your entire schedule, and not getting one day of R&R, and I’m sure many other fans feel the same. But, as I said, we can’t. So, just keep going–and things will turn out okay! I know it! It must suck writing every single day without one break–but after finishing the book, you’ll get TONS of time to unwind!
Whatever happens, we’re rooting for you Auntie. You’re our inspiration–and we’re your encouragement! We would all form a crowd and bow down in front of your house every day until dawn if you requested it!
Don’t worry about your blog; Just keep writing that book! The more you write; the sooner you’ll be done with it. *cheers* COME ON, HEATHER! YOU CAN DO IT! YOU’RE ONE OF THE AWESOMENEST WRITERS I’VE EVER KNOWN! JUST KEEP GOING! AND DON’T EVER GIVE UP!

that sounds like my scedual in shop this quarter. we have a massive project that spreads thuoughout the quarter. im working by myself on it and im ahead but its still a lot of work. i now how u feel. dead lines always make u stress because ur not sure if u can get it all done in time. im sure u can do it though.

In 8th grade bites, Otis tells Vlad that Tomas was a vampire for a century before he was turned. But in 10th grade bleeds, Otis and Tomas are held in the Bastille and then Ignatius turns them minutes apart!
