WOW. I knew I coud throw a party. And I knew the Snow Ball would be a blast. But I had NO IDEA it would be THAT much fun!!! Pics absolutely cannot do this justice, but I had my sister snap off a few for this blog (thanks, Dawn!), until the really good pics come back from the photographer, just so I could show you all the awesomeness that was the Snow Ball.
First off, I’ve been told that there was a line outside the door starting a half hour before doors were set to open. You Minions must have been anxious! But I wouldn’t know. Because from about a half hour before until about 20 mins. after the doors opened, I was sitting in a back, dark, lonely lil room, waiting for my big rock n roll entrance to begin.
And then it did.
My lovely assistant/husband, Paul, rallied up the crowd to the tune of “Headfirst for Halos” by MCR (one of my FAVE songs), and after he announced “Auntie Heather Brewer!!”, my son Jacob (who was totally Vlad!) opened the door and I came out to so much applause and screams that I nearly cried. After a few high fives, I thanked everyone for coming and read from ELEVENTH GRADE BURNS. Just look at all these adoring faces:
And then…it was time to get down to business. It was party time.
We ate great food. I signed people, stuff, and books (which are like stuff, but not quite). The room (which you can’t see well in pics) was covered in snow and ice. Even the cake was all snowflakes (and you can’t see it in the pics, but the cake maker, Dahlia, painted little Vlad Marks all around the base – and the big Vlad smiley at the top was covered with actual silver leaf). By the time the cake cutting commenced, I was sooooo tempted to hack and slash it to pieces in a psycho move…but I held back, so everyone could enjoy it.
So after the cake, there was more signing. Here’s a quick peek at PART of the line (which went on forever and never shrank. Seriously. The only time I had away from signing was for filming suff with the videographers. But it was so amazing, I didn’t care.)
And the Minions danced the night away!!
But no worries. It wasn’t ALL signing. Just before midnight, Paul got me on the dance floor.
It was amazing, and I’m so blessed to have spent that evening with so many Minions. THANK YOU!

Thank You so much for the Snow Ball! My daughter & I had a blast! Drove through a blizzard in Ohio to get there from Alabama & it was well worth it! You & your family are some of the most down-to-earth people I have ever met! It was my pleasure to be able to spend the evening with all of you! To all of ya’ll not able to go just let me say that Auntie Heather is AWESOME in person! She throws one heck of a party! Got tons of freebies & the food was delicious! The Snow ball was soooooooo much fun you should have another one for “The Slayer Journals” but I had such a great time but it’s not far because i’m almost in 3 of those pictures
is your son the person you based vlad on or is he just dressed as vlad i think he looks cool but not quit small enough to be the vlad i imagined i figured vlad looked more skiny and shortish. Jacob looks tall and kinda filled out but still cool! (and dont wory i am not checking him out i just wonder)
Vlad is based off of Jacob and Jacob is dressed as Vlad for the Snow Ball (which I have a ton of awsome pics. especially when we did the thriller dance and YMCA.)
GAH! I’m so peeved right now…seriously I went to Wally World to get the new book, and wasn’t able to because of lazy employees. T_T looking forward to reading it tomorrow (providing i’m my car will get out of driveway due to snow) and sooooooooo wish i could have been at the ball. can’t wait to get into the new book, and can’t wait for the next one either

The Vlad bags were just a part of the freebies we got for attending the Snow Ball. We also got a signed copy of the book, t-shirt, button, chapstick, bookmarkers, a necklace that lit up, poster, etc….wonderful stuff! All with the smiley on them! Fantastic party and even more fab company!
oh my gosh! 11th comes put TODAY!!! we had a snow day at school today well cuz it snowed so the roads are all bad ans stuff but that isnt stopping me-well my mom-from driving me to the bookstore!!!!
Gotta love My Chemical Romance. And I was going to go to the book store so I could buy 11th Grade burns but it’s snowing really hard and my parents are happily enough to get a new car that’s way farther then the book store but when I need a ride its to dangerous.
