WOW. I knew I coud throw a party. And I knew the Snow Ball would be a blast. But I had NO IDEA it would be THAT much fun!!! Pics absolutely cannot do this justice, but I had my sister snap off a few for this blog (thanks, Dawn!), until the really good pics come back from the photographer, just so I could show you all the awesomeness that was the Snow Ball.
First off, I’ve been told that there was a line outside the door starting a half hour before doors were set to open. You Minions must have been anxious! But I wouldn’t know. Because from about a half hour before until about 20 mins. after the doors opened, I was sitting in a back, dark, lonely lil room, waiting for my big rock n roll entrance to begin.
And then it did.
My lovely assistant/husband, Paul, rallied up the crowd to the tune of “Headfirst for Halos” by MCR (one of my FAVE songs), and after he announced “Auntie Heather Brewer!!”, my son Jacob (who was totally Vlad!) opened the door and I came out to so much applause and screams that I nearly cried. After a few high fives, I thanked everyone for coming and read from ELEVENTH GRADE BURNS. Just look at all these adoring faces:
And then…it was time to get down to business. It was party time.
We ate great food. I signed people, stuff, and books (which are like stuff, but not quite). The room (which you can’t see well in pics) was covered in snow and ice. Even the cake was all snowflakes (and you can’t see it in the pics, but the cake maker, Dahlia, painted little Vlad Marks all around the base – and the big Vlad smiley at the top was covered with actual silver leaf). By the time the cake cutting commenced, I was sooooo tempted to hack and slash it to pieces in a psycho move…but I held back, so everyone could enjoy it.
So after the cake, there was more signing. Here’s a quick peek at PART of the line (which went on forever and never shrank. Seriously. The only time I had away from signing was for filming suff with the videographers. But it was so amazing, I didn’t care.)
And the Minions danced the night away!!
But no worries. It wasn’t ALL signing. Just before midnight, Paul got me on the dance floor.
It was amazing, and I’m so blessed to have spent that evening with so many Minions. THANK YOU!

Oh My Vlad that party looked amazing! I wish I could have gone but I’m stuck here in lovely PA (and in the middle of the lovely blizzard, been three days, still waiting for snow plows)
I am so forcing my daddy to take me to a bookstore that has this book today, snow storm approaching today or not! (yes lovely PA gets round two, due anytime now)
Okay, time to go spazzel until daddy gets home with the truck so we can fite the snow and get me a book -squeal- i can stay up all nite to read it since no school tomorro! (3 day in a row cancellation)
OMV!!! I cant wait to get 11th Grade. im not sure if my mom will get it for me today cuz she got mad at me yesterday but i am so getting it asap.
I wish i could have gone to the snowball but i live to far away. Auntie next time you go on tour you have to come to Western Mass. Your minions here are feeling very deprived. Kraven and Trin are dying to meet you too.

Ohhh my goodness, the Snow Ball was easily the most exciting night of my life so far! (And I kind of doubt anything can top it!) It was so much fun and everyone was so wonderful!! I may have a permanent grin on my face from it xD

That looked so AMAZING! 11th Grade Burns came out today(!) but I live in Pittsburgh, so the delivery trucks couldn’t get through the storm! Im crying my eyes out now. What did i do to deserve this!? Was I Hitler in a past life or something! Darn snow! anyway, ill get it eventually…poo.
WOW! that looked like a lot of fun, I totally wish i coulda been there, at least I got 11th grade burns today, and I just finished reading it. man was it good!! but it ended in a cliff hanger and now I can’t wait for the next book to come out

Dude, I wish I could have gone but I’ve never been out of state.I’m going to washington in the break. I also just noticed that the price on eleventh grade burns is higher than the others so I’m guessing it is a very good book and is longer than the others.I also just got a 30% off coupon to buy one book from the series, which I have the others so I’m getting this one. It only cost like $11.95 I think or eleven somethin.Well all I can say now is: THISIS AWESOME!!!

it looks like it was alot of fun! i cant wait to c the perfetional pics! i wish i could have gone but i live to far away. I did however trave through the begining of a big snow storm (so it wasnt to bad at the time) that closed school for today to get eleventh grad burns. As soon as i found it i ran over, tore it off the shelf and seqezed it tight and laughed.

I had my own little party, though, reading Eleventh Grade Burns in my room listening to Skillet and drinking a protein milkshake… not as good as going to a snow ball, but definitely a nice night. Since today is a snow day, I will have nothing in my way to stop me from finishing it up and rereading all the others!!!

The Snow Ball was Fangtastic! And yes, I was there waiting almost an hour before it started. We were first in line if you don’t count the two wonderful young ladies you sent out to form the line. I had a great time! So did my daughter and her friend. Thanks for all the minion bling/stuff, book, signatures and pix! It was great getting to talk to you. I came from Cali to see you at the ball and now you are comming here. I think I may just take that drive down to Menlo Park to see you again Friday. The book was great, but I agree with Nasya Rain…How could you leave us hanging like that another 6 months!
