You’ve waited for it. I’ve teased you mercilessly. You’ve pleaded, begged me, “Pleeeeeeeeeeeeease, Auntie Heather! Pleeeeeeease show us the cover of the first Slayer book! Pleeeease tell us the title!” And I have been a cruel, merciless overlord, and have not shared these things with you.
Until now.
Minions. Today I am going to tell you the title of the first book of The Slayer Chronicles, and reveal to you its cover. Both of these things have been a long time coming.
But before I do so, I’m afraid I have to tease you just a little bit more, with some fangtastic fun facts about the book (which will debt September 20, 2011):
- There are 30 chapters in this book.
- It is the darkest book (so far) that I have ever written.
- You will meet Cecile.
- You will see two characters from CoVT besides Joss & his parents.
- The book mostly takes place in the Catskills in New York.
- The book opens with a not-to-be-missed prologue.
- The first chapter is titled THE NEXT GREAT ADVENTURE.
- The last chapter is titled A SLAYER’S GIFT.
- The first sentence of the thirteenth chapter is: Setting explosives the day before had been immeasurably entertaining–and terrifying–but when Joss woke to a note from Uncle Abraham that said to meet him in the clearing, he was certain that this day was going to be drastically different than yesterday in tone.
- The last word in the book is soon.

Did u end the chronicles of vlad tod…. the last ending part of the book left so many question unanswered like wats going to happen with snow and vlad. or henry and october. and joss and meredith. wat did it mean wen snows eyes flashed iredesent green. plzz consider maybe one last book on The Chronicles of Vladimir Tod a 6th book to wrap up all the series plzzz…
but i loved the ending the twist of the story… and blood ohhh the blood and gore was the best… but it had its sad parts nice book hope to c more vlad tod book in the future

The BEST books i’ve read in a long time! I fell in love with Vlad’s character, his description sounded very attractive! At first it was hard to picture him, but by the second book I was in love ♥ ♥ ♥…I hope to see movies of ALL the books out, to see what he really looks like! Seriously think about the movie thing! Hahaha.

PLEEEEEEEEASE make another Vladmir book!!!! I mean with Snow’s eyes flashing green? You must make another book of Vladmir Tod! Snow is my favorite character and I have so much questions to ask! I believe you can make another Vladmir Tod book and all these fans on this site help support you. I loved The Chronicles of Vladmir Tod and I personaly believe you should continue writing about Vlad’s point of the story.

Guys, Heather is never gonna make another instalment of Vlad. She’s following that old showbiz quote. Always leave em wanting more. Unless it’s all part of her devious plan to trick us into thinking there isn’t going to be one so we’ll be so exstatic when we hear about it we will be vonerable to her mind control device, which she will use to make us take over the world. Just a theory.
So all I’ve so far is why end it like you did. and something about the character Snow having is own series. but I’m only on the third book enjoying lots. And yes make it a movie so we all can see the characters faces. So I’m gonna get your new series. Just so ya know I’ll bet there be a series about Thomas with the answers you been wanting to know… just a thought.
For some reson I always respected Joss… And cried in some scenes in the books… Now I’ll be buying a box of klenex with the book

I didn’t understand at first why Snow’s eyes flashed green and i should have realized this after 11th Grade Burns but now i realize that everyone that Dorian mentioned and how their eyes changed different colors they were the colors of the cover of each book.Nice!
